Born and raised in Vermont, Dana learned early on skills & techniques of the building trade in his youth, building boats with his dad. He started his construction business, Gnome Woodworks, in Oregon, back in the year 2000, and eventually broadened the scope of services to construction management with Gnome Construction. Commercial & residential projects included a unique affordable housing community of platinum rated Earth Advantage homes; a one of a kind 90-panel solar array; LEED certified luxury home builds & community kitchen for local food cooperative.
While developing his own business, he gave back to the community mentoring at-risk students in the construction trade, with Rogue Valley Youth Build Program. He is dedicated to sound building practices and he is mindful of the impacts different construction techniques have on the efficiency of a project. He was asked to join Portland Oregon's reputable Green Hammer team and over the course of a few years managed projects centered on LEED, Passive House, Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), & Living Building Challenge (LBC) certifications.
Dana relocated to Maine in 2021 to be closer to family. Gnome Construction provides design and construction management services for residential and light commercial projects throughout Midcoast Maine. Dana and his wife live in Brunswick, Maine, not too far from where he visited his grandparents as a child, at their Farmington Fall's farm. In his spare time, you’ll find Dana spending time outdoors, throwing disc (he's a card carrying Professional Disc Golf Association member), hiking with his German Shepherd, birding, & enjoying outdoor music festivals with his wife of twenty years.

Bio coming soon.
Noah is a part-time carpenter at Gnome Construction and is a life-long Mainer. After moving all around Central Maine, he landed in Brunswick over ten years ago and loves the charm of the town and the surrounding areas. His interest in construction began in high school, and he has since pursued it as a career, earning an Associate's degree in Architectural and Civil Engineering and (soon) another in Building Construction Technology from CMCC.
When he's not in school or working on a construction site, Noah loves being outdoors, engaging in activities like paddle boarding, kayaking, hiking, and photography. With his passion for construction and eagerness to learn, we're lucky to have him on the team.
